Calculate your climate impact
Your conscious choices in everyday life can reduce your carbon footprint. Many people can reduce their carbon footprint by up to 40 percent.
If you want to see how you are doing, you can use a climate calculator. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Stockholm Environmental Institute (SEI) have jointly created a climate calculator. By answering questions about your household's living, travelling, eating habits and shopping, you can quickly get an idea of your environmental impact and what you can do to reduce it.

Stockholmers' emissions are high
Today, the climate emissions that Stockholmers cause, in Sweden and worldwide, average just over nine tons per person per year.
The climate footprint includes all the emissions that your habits cause, regardless of whether they occur in Sweden or abroad. The majority of the emissions caused by consumption in Stockholm occur abroad.
About 60 percent comes from Stockholmers' consumption, while the rest is caused by public consumption and investments, mainly corporate investments.
The biggest contributors to private emissions are travel, food, housing, leisure activities, and clothing and footwear. Since Stockholmers' habits and lifestyles differ greatly, there is great individual variation.
